Planet Earth
Planet Earth is unlike any other celestial body in our solar system. This is a fortunate development, since Planet Earth is the only planet that supports our form of life.
Planet Earth
Our planet is truly unique when compared to the rest of our solar system. As a terrestrial planet, it has land for us to live on while only Mars, Venus and Mercury can claim the same thing. While those three planets have hard land, they can’t support human life for a number of reasons.
We need water to live. Earth is the only terrestrial planet we know of with water. In fact, it covers more than 70 percent of the surface of Planet Earth. With the water comes oxygen, another key component to human life. Finally, we have an abundance of life on our planet, which is all interrelated. No other planet has revealed even one form of life, much less an abundance of it.
Following you will find pages discussing various aspects of Planet Earth and our Moon. New entries are added frequently, so make sure to check back from time to time.
