Countries are grouped under the seven continents methodology. This methodology suggests there are seven continents in the world with Antarctica being one without any countries. This theory makes for some strange classifications, such as Russia being in Asia and the countries of Central America being part of North America. That being said, it is the simplest way of organizing the countries.
